Titans 'Multiply' their sponsorship

The Titans, arguably the leading domestic franchise team in South Africa, today confirmed Multiply as their team sponsor in the T20-Challenge. Multiply and Momentum are supplementary brands in the MMI Holdings group of companies.

While Momentum creates financial prosperity, Multiply is committed to the unlocking of Financial Wellness in the form of wellness solutions and rewards.

Already on board as sponsor of the Titans in the four-day format and Momentum One-Day Cup formats, Multiply has now also given their brand support to the T20-format in which the Titans recently established a growing international base of fans who adore their entertaining brand.

In the 2015/2016-season, the Multiply Titans, under the astute leadership of Albie Morkel, won the Ram Slam T20 Challenge in emphatic style by coasting to a seven-wicket win in the final.  During the group-phase, the team won seven consecutive matches.

A group of decorated international players contributed to their dominance against all-comers. Quinton de Kock struck 437 runs, Morkel hammered 198 runs and captured 10 wickets, while both Chris Morris and David Wiese produced match-winning performances.

But it was their cohesion, family spirit and commitment to entertain the fans, while staying true to their identity as an adventurous and attacking team, which sets them apart.

“We are thrilled to have Multiply on board as team sponsor for all three formats. Our recent track record reveals that we have been champions on and off the field. We won four trophies the past three seasons (one shared), completed the domestic double last season and claimed the CSA Incentive Scorecard as leading franchise in the country,” said Jacques Faul, chief executive officer of the Multiply Titans.

“Our approach to cricket in unlocking skills and leadership potential by staying true to a valued-driven approach and making hard work and 100% effort the centre-piece of our game preparations, will resonate with the sponsors, who boast the same approach,” Faul added.

Craig Townsend, head of the Multiply brand and sponsorship, said the decision to become name sponsor of the Titans is a strategic incentive. “Since its inception, T20-cricket worldwide has lured a new generation of fans and a legion of families to the game. That is also the case in the South African cricketing landscape.

“As a brand, we make sure we unlock value for our members by rewarding good financial and physical behaviour, and we would like to share that message with the Titans’ fans and other admiring spectators nationally,” Townsend added.

“The increasing number of trophies in the Multiply Titans’ cabinet underpins the fact that they have the same industrious approach to physical wellness as we do. There are no shortcuts – just hard and smart work which yields long-term benefits for the individual and the team,” Townsend remarked.  “We cannot be happier about our association with the Titans”.

The Multiply Titans start their campaign of defending their glittering crown in the T20 Challenge with a match against the bizhub Highveld Lions on 12th November at the Bidvest Wanderers Stadium.  Tickets are available at www.ticketpros.co.za
