ANC: Don't tell us what to do with our President
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
African National Congress (ANC) deputy secretary general Jessie Duarte has told supporters that while the DA has every right to march against President Jacob Zuma, the ANC would not allow the opposition to tell them who must lead the country.

Duarte was speaking outside Luthuli House, where scores of ANC members gathered in support of President Zuma.

"Zuma was elected by the ANC and the opposition can't tell us he must go," said Duarte.
Meanwhile, shortly after Duarte spoke, police had to escort anti-Zuma supporters away from the group of ANC members.
The ANC's Bishop Adams says party members were provoked by DA supporters, as they were dispersing.

"Two guys came with DA flags and walked past everybody. People began to throw stones. Things got out of hand, one was hit on the head and was gushing blood."
Police eventually managed to escort the DA members away.
This was the second incident where clashes threatened to erupt between rival sets of protestors.
Earlier, police had to escort three anti-Zuma protesters away from Luthuli House.
