Western Cape's graphic anti texting and driving ad hits home
Updated | By Lee-Roy Wright
Do you think this ad has taken it one step too far?
The Western Cape Government has always released hard-hitting adverts, but their latest ad may be their most shocking one yet.
In the below video people can be seen learning the hard way while texting and walking. A number of CCTV footage shows people walking while being focused on their phones. One man is seen falling into a pond and another can be seen walking into a pole.
After a few seconds a black and white clip shows a woman sitting texting behind the wheel of her car. Suddenly she is involved in an accident and dashboard footage shows the collision.
The woman can be seen being flipped as the car rolls a few times before she is left hanging lifelessly in the drivers' seat.
