A recent report by UK-based rugby content network RUCK.co.uk revealed just how much Springbok head coach Rassie Erasmus earns.
As the coach of one of the world's best teams, he enjoys many benefits, including a salary that fits the title.

According to RUCK, Erasmus is the second-highest-paid rugby coach in the world, earning a whopping £650,000 per year (almost R15 million).
So, if the coach of the Rugby World Cup-winning team earns that amount, how much does the captain earn?
Springbok captain Siya Kolisi has played a key role in helping the South African national team become one of the best teams in the world.
Under Kolisi's captaincy, the Springboks have won two consecutive Rugby World Cup titles. In 2024, the team won 11 out of 13 games and also secured the Rugby Championship trophy.
Similar to Erasmus, Kolisi's reported salary reflects his success as the captain of the national team.

According to a report by online salary checker Mywage.co.za, Kolisi earns an annual salary of R18,571,638.

Siyamthanda 'Siya' Kolisi is a renowned South African rugby union player and serves as the captain of the Springboks.
He has previously played for the Stormers and Racing 92, and currently plays for the Sharks, primarily in the position of flanker or loose forward.
In 2018, he made history by becoming the first black player to be named Springbok captain.
Under Kolisi's leadership, South Africa clinched the Rugby World Cup title twice: first in 2019 against England and again in 2023 with a victory over New Zealand.
