Breakfast with Martin Bester listener Mark Oakes spoke to the team on Tuesday morning after he successfully proposed at home during the lockdown.
Oakes proposed to his girlfriend, Maxine, at the weekend with a garden picnic and a homemade ring!
As restaurants are shut and romantic spots closed off, the idea of proposing at home became more appealing for Oakes.
"One can’t let a pandemic stand in the way of what your heart wants. We had a proposal picnic with an arts and crafts ring. Our friendly chefs at Woolies provided us with a great meal," Oakes joked.
It was 100% a surprise and the couple are planning to have a getaway... in their front garden!
