'It doesn't matter where you come from' - Liesl Laurie chats about her Miss SA journey

From a young township girl to one of the most influential South Africans ever - Liesl Laurie is a true inspiration!
Liesl Laurie is not only beautiful and smart, but she is also totally real.
In 2015, Laurie was crowned Miss South Africa and she placed in the Top 10 finalists at the Miss World pageant. This saw her become the Continental Queen of Africa, for being the contestant who placed the highest of all the African contestants.
Today, she is a radio presenter, model, motivational speaker, and brand ambassador.

But things were not always as glamorous for this beauty queen.
Growing up in Eldorado Park, Laurie was exposed to a variety of negative experiences. With her mother and grandmother's protection and support - Liesl knew that her future was bright.
After earning her title as Miss SA - Liesl not only changed her life but also influenced and changed the lives of many young girls and women across South Africa.
