The City of Cape Town has reinstated the event permit of McLaren Circus.

Smaragda Louw from Ban Animal Trading spoke to Martin Bester about the investigation.

Louw told Breakfast with Martin Bester that Pieterse and Mfini discovered that some of the animals were not taken care of.

A listener won tickets to visit the circus. She shared her experience with the team.

"We won tickets for the circus. I have never been to a circus. It was absolutely amazing and wow but I felt guilty. I felt uncomfortable when those animals came out."

"I'm also amazed by the tricks at the circus but there is no need to include animals," Martin Bester added.
