Mpumalanga pupil violently attacks school bus driver

The pupil put the lives of all the passengers in the bus at risk in a
shocking manner.
The Mpumalanga Department of Education has judged an unfortunate incident where a 19-year-old pupil who attacked a school bus driver while he was driving children home.
The violent incident occurred last week Friday and a case of assault was opened with the police.

"One cannot imagine that a learner can conduct himself in such a horrible manner. It is really so unfortunate and heart-breaking. There is nothing that can justify such violent conduct and utter disregard for the safety of other learners. This would have caused a major accident," said MEC Sibusiso Malaza.

The Department of Education weighed in on the seriousness of the incident.
@Mpueducation strongly condemns a disturbing incident of assault on a bus driver by a 19-year old learner from Hoérskool Oosterland on Thursday, 13 September 2018. The learner appeared in court the following day for assault. A school disciplinary hearing is on 18 September 2018.
