Cakes are a big part of any celebration - and only prominent figures have the opportunity to cut the cake.

At the celebration, President Cyril Ramaphosa promised that the party was finding its way back to moral fortitude.

“We are correcting our own ways so that we serve our people with diligence and commitment. We want to get rid of the tendencies of the past, like corruption,” Ramaphosa said.

Martin Bester said the talks around the cakes in previous years dominated the conversation.
