Sam Smith celebrates their third Number 1 album

Sam Smith’s latest album ‘Gloria’ topped the UK charts just one week after its release.

Sam Smith’s fourth studio album, ‘Gloria’, reached number one on the UK charts just one week after its release.

This is the English singer-songwriter’s third album to end up on top of the UK charts.

“I'm truly overwhelmed and could not have done this without you. I love you all, this is for us,” the 30-year-old singer said.

Their 2014 debut, ‘The Lonely Hour’, was the first album to reach number one and thereafter it was 2017’s ‘The Thrill Of It All’.

‘Gloria’ features collaborations with some big names in the music industry including Koffee, Jessie Reyez, and Ed Sheeran.

Despite receiving plenty of backlash and mixed reviews, the singer still shared their gratitude towards their fans and those supporting them.

“Thank you to all my amazing sailors who have made Gloria this week's Number 1 album. GLORIA is the album that made me feel free... it’s real, honest and true. Means the world to see you enjoying it so much, thank you for coming on this journey with me,” they wrote on Instagram.
