WATCH: Home robber chased down by chopper on N1 in Joburg

A home robber had nowhere to run after being cornered on the N1 south in Johannesburg.

Driving home from work becomes tedious at times during peak traffic, but motorists traveling home had to exercise even more patience recently as police took over a large stretch of road.

A video showing police flooding the motorway to arrest a fleeing house robber has been doing the rounds on social media.
According to reports, the police received a call about a house robbery in Honeydew. Police were told that two men had entered a home and stole jewellery, cellphones, and a Hyundai. Police then received a tip off that a Hyundai fitting the description of the stolen vehicle in Honeydew had been spotted on the N1 near the Garsfontein off-ramp.
The police then started their chase and even called in backup – a chopper. In the video, the suspect is seen abandoning the car and running into a nearby bush, but he was soon cornered and an arrest was made.
