A massive earthquake was reported on Sunday, 18 September, where one person reportedly died, and 146 were injured
An earthquake left a few damaged buildings and torn-up roads in a small town in the Southeastern part of Taiwan.
According to News 24, the earthquake was thought to have a magnitude of 7.2 while threatening a possible tsunami.

It has been confirmed that the quake was downgraded to a 6.9 magnitude, and there are no further tsunami threats.
Following the quake, a video shared on social media shows the terrifying moment when a school gym's roof collapsed.
The footage shows children running for their lives as the roof collapses during a tennis match.

According to Daily Maverick, Taiwan's fire department reported that at least one person has died and 146 were injured.
