A Polish woman made headlines all over the world when she claimed to be Madeleine McCann, a British girl who vanished during a family holiday at Praia da Luz in Portugal when she was three years old.

Julia Wendell, 21, even made it onto the popular US talk show 'Dr Phil', where she first claimed her suspicions that she might be the little girl that went missing all those years ago.

Wendell’s parents branded her claims as “lies and manipulation”. According to the Daily Mail, the 21-year-old’s parents said she fabricated the entire story.

Wendell has never provided any proof to back up these claims, and now DNA results have shown that she is, in fact, not the missing British girl.

On Tuesday, Wendell’s alleged spokesperson, psychic medium Dr Fia Johansson, revealed that “although it is impossible to tell for sure without the parent’s DNA results on either side, the test results speak to the origins of Julia’s root.

“The test results revealed that she is 100% of Polish heart, with negligible influence from Lithuania and Russia.”
