An inside look at the Golden Globes goodie bags worth R9-million

It's award season and for fans of the 2023 blockbuster favourites, 'Oppenheimer' and 'Barbie', it's the most exciting way to start 2024.

On Sunday the 7th of January, the Golden Globes, one of the biggest award shows of the year, took place and 'Oppenheimer' did reign supreme with the most wins.
Other winners did include 'Barbie' and television favourites 'The Bear' and 'Succession'.

If you thought the winners would only be walking away with a coveted Golden Globe trophy last night, then we have news for you.
Every winner and presenter walked away with an expensive goodie bag courtesy of the Golden Globes and luxury-lifestyle magazine, Robb Report, filled with items to the value of $500,000 (estimated R9,3-million).

The Independent reports that the 83 winners and presenters received bags containing 35 products and experiences as well as a donation to the Golden Globes Foundation.
Here is a list of just a few of the items included in the bags:
- A pair of emerald earrings worth $69,000
- Private jet credits
- Private pizza-making class with a top chef
- Custom-made sneakers
- Exotic yacht charter invitations
- Celebrity tattoo sessions
- Private surf lessons in Southern California
- A two-night stay in Burgundy, France
- An all-inclusive lodge stay in New Zealand
That's one fancy gift bag!
Not all winners will receive the same gifts, but they will all be equally as luxurious.

The awards ceremony did not hold back when it came to spending the big bucks on these gifts and had more expensive gifts than the 2020 Academy Awards, which boasted a goodie bag worth $200,000.
It seems like Hollywood is not skimping on all the glitz and glamour any time soon.
