You can also interact with Instagram Stories by liking them, replying to them, resharing them and more.
You can also see who is viewing your story, so your crush might see you checking in.
However, a new Instagram feature could expose those who enjoy rewatching stories.

And it could reveal some stalker behaviour.
Have you ever wondered how the list of story viewers is determined?
Is it alphabetical, chronological or just random?

As it turns out, the way the accounts are listed is achronological.
This means that the first person to watch your story will be shown at the top, and eventually, as more people watch your post, it will move down to the bottom.
You can also view those who have reacted to your story at the top.

The first 50 story views are categorised chronologically, and then the rest is sorted by engagement, those you interact with the most on the platform.
Users recently realised that Instagram is outing the stalkers as this sorting system has changed after the latest update.

According to one person on Reddit, they have noticed that someone is rewatching their stories because their name reappears at the top of the list.
