It's not just people who have to be aware of their social media presence these days.

Any business or company wanting to survive or thrive has to make some effort to make sure its online presence doesn't cause its downfall in some way.

This includes what others might be saying about you online.

One company made a major mistake by sending a rejected job applicant a letter that has now made waves on social media as being "the worst rejection letter ever".

The rejection letter is from a software company and starts off like any other application rejection before becoming more problematic as you continue reading.

The person who wrote the letter even said, "If you are upset at this email, we have to inform you that life is hard."

The Reddit community have since shared their opinions, which only emphasises that the tone of this letter was not only unnecessary but also unprofessional.

While the applicant may not have gotten the job, they could consider themselves better off after receiving this letter.

The company, however, is going to have to spend some serious time on damage control and probably some extra training as well.
