Three SA restaurants make World's 2025 Best list
Three South African restaurants have been named among the 2025 World's Best list and all of them are in the same province.
Cape Town has once again made its mark on the international culinary scene, with not one, not two, but three local restaurants earning a spot on the prestigious World's Best Restaurants list for 2025.

Making South Africa proud, La Colombe, FYN, and Salsify at the Roundhouse have all been included in the Top 100.
They are also the only South African eateries to make the cut this year.
Here's how they ranked:
- La Colombe – 55th
- FYN – 82nd
- Salsify at the Roundhouse – 88th (making its debut)

La Colombe – Constantia's Crown Jewel
Located on Silvermist Wine Estate with jaw-dropping views over the Constantia Valley, La Colombe has become a local legend.
This is their sixth time making the list! Chef James Gaag leads this restaurant, which serves up fancy French-Asian fusion food.
FYN – A Flavour Fusion Like No Other
Tucked away on the fifth floor of an old silk factory in Cape Town's city centre, FYN ("fayn") brings African and Japanese flavours together in the most unexpected and delicious ways.
Chefs Ashley Moss and Peter Tempelhoff are the masterminds behind dishes like hazelnut-crusted springbok.

Salsify at the Roundhouse – A Stunning Debut
With ocean views and Lion's Head in the background, this Camps Bay stunner brings major wow factor before you even take a bite.
Salsify, by chefs Ryan Cole and Luke Dale-Roberts, is all about beautifully plated dishes with bold local flavours.
It’s their first time on the list, and they've already made a splash!
The official World's 50 Best Restaurants ceremony will take place in Turin, Italy, on Thursday, 19 June.
