VIDEO: Gigantic new anaconda species found swimming in Amazon

There are many people who have a very legitimate fear of snakes.

They can be deadly but not all snakes are bad snakes.

And while most of us would try to avoid them, others try to find them.

Recently a team from the University of Queensland set out to search for the previously undocumented northern green anaconda (Eunectes akayima).

According to CNN, the scientists went on a 10-day expedition and were joined by hunters of the Waorani people as they set out in the Bameno region of Baihuaeri Waorani Territory in the Amazon.

The green anaconda is said to be the largest in existence and the team was able to find them lurking in the shallows of the river system.
