It's not every day you see a dog just chilling on an airplane, nevermind a gigantic Great Dane...

Great Danes are true to their name.

These dogs can measure up to 81cm in height at their shoulders and weigh a max of 79kg, and if you have ever encountered a Great Dane in real life, they seem like they should be closer in relation to horses than pooches.

This breed is obviously not classified as lapdogs, and when you consider travelling with a pet, it makes sense that the dogs you might find on trains and planes are of the lapdog variety.

If you ever find yourself on the same flight as Gabriel Bogner, @gibbon1215 on TikTok, and his service dog, you are in for a treat.

Bogner recently uploaded a video to TikTok documenting his flight from Los Angeles to New York City, accompanied by his 63kg Great Dane, Darwin.

The video shows the pair hanging out at the airport before boarding their flight, where Darwin could enjoy having two whole seats to herself (something everyone dreams of).

Gabriel and Darwin were moving and thanked the airline for their cooperation in helping the move go as smoothly as possible.

The pair definitely not only provided the online community with lots of smiles but also those who happened to see this probably very rare sight:

@gibbon1215 Who says Great Danes aren’t airplane dogs. Shoutout to @American Airlines for making our move to Brooklyn a piece of cake though! (Yes I bought 3 seats for us on the plane) #greatdane #dog #gay #fyp #tiktok #newyork #brooklyn #doggo ♬ Funny Background - Stefani

Unfortunately, some people were less than impressed, and they made sure to complain to Gabriel and even threatened to call various authorities because he had referred to Darwin as a service dog.

He responded by posting another video explaining that he had suffered through various hospital stays and has a lot of trauma related to spending most of his childhood in hospitals. Thus, Darwin is legitimately registered as an emotional support dog and she had qualified as such through evaluation by a physician.

@gibbon1215 Replying to @Gibbon seems my vid made most people smile but made some quite angry, so here’s even more explanation to the haters! 💋🎂 #greatdane #dog #tiktok #fyp #crohnsdisease #ostomate #gay ♬ original sound - Gibbon

You won't be able to always please everyone, but we hope we get to see Gabriel and Darwin embark on many more adventures.
