When you think of a petrol station you tend to get stuck at the large amount of money you're about to spend on filling your car and you might consider popping into the convenience store to buy a snack or drink.

If you are on a road trip you might be excited to stretch your legs, grab some breakfast, lunch or dinner, take a bathroom break and be on your way.

Very rarely, if ever is the station the final destination.

There is one Sasol station in Rosebank, Johannesburg that is unlike any other, and it's all thanks to out-of-the-box thinking.

Mark Sham, from the 'Like A Tourist' YouTube channel, recently visited this location to check it out and spoke to one of the brains behind the concept, restauranteur and chef David Higgs.

The Pantry is located on Jan Smuts Drive on the forecourt of Sasol's flagship petrol station and it's open 24 hours a day.

They're even working on an app!
