They tend to be German Shepherds, Bloodhounds, Beagles or similar breeds.

Although adorable, and often quite feisty, you wouldn't expect to see a Chihuahua or Yorkshire Terrier patrolling the streets.

However, China has decided to break police dog barriers and stereotypes.

They have employed the first police corgi!

Fuzai began his police dog training at just two months old and managed to keep up with fellow long-legged trainees, searching luggage, inspecting vehicles and crossing obstacles.

In April 2025, he helped provide security at the Weifang International Kite Festival, and since then, he has gained quite a following.

People flock to get a picture or video of him whenever they spot him patrolling the streets.

Recently, though, while on patrol, Fuzai let his canine instincts take over and caused serious mischief.

During the patrol, the corgi couldn't resist the urge when he spotted and grabbed a child's delicious sausage from their hand.

Fuzai and his trainer tried to find the mother and child after the patrol, but had no luck.

Back at the station, Fuzai received stern treatment. His trainer posted a sincere apology online and said that stricter food refusal would follow.

Unfortunately, this was not the first time Fuzai had to be reprimanded.

The Weifang public security bureau posted a video on Douyin (Chinese TikTok) that showed Fuzai receiving his first performance review and subsequent punishment:

Luckily, Fuzai seems to be a good boy 99% of the time and he won't be losing his job anytime soon.
