WATCH: The most difficult English words to pronouce
Even if your mother tongue is English, there are some words just waiting to be mispronounced.
Although many languages share common origins, they can still be vastly different in spelling, grammar, and pronunciation.
Take two of South Africa's official languages for instance. Afrikaans and English are both of Germanic origin, yet their structures and rules set them far apart.

Some people pick up new languages quickly, but pronunciation often remains a challenge. Even fluent speakers can stumble over words with baffling spelling and pronunciation rules.

Rob Forbes and Rozanne McKenzie decided to put this to the test. First,
they asked people which Afrikaans words they found hardest to pronounce.
