What are these 7de Laan stars doing now?

When we think of 7de Laan’s first few years on local TV screens, loveable characters like George, Wilmien and Bart come to mind.

But what are the actors who portrayed these iconic characters doing now? We found out!
Nico Panagio (George Kyriakis)
Nico married to local actress and fellow 7de Laan-alum, Christi Panagio in 2006. After 5 years of being part of the 7de Laan family, Nico starred in a variety of Afrikaans feature films like Semi-soet, Vrou Soek Boer; and more recently in the award-winning action comedy, Vuil Wasgoed. In 2018 Nico continued as official host of the latest season of Survivor South Africa.
Nina Swart (Wilmien de Lange)
Nina, who was part of the 7de Laan family from 2000-2004, portrayed various roles other local series like, Die Boekklub, Interrogation Room and Known Gods. Nina is currently producing a variety of Afrikaans lifestyle shows, including a show she is also the host of, Jou Storie met Nina which received a 2018 SAFTA nomination for Best Talk Show.
Bart Kruger (Niel Sandilands)
In the early 2000’s he was the shy deli owner in 7de Laan. Flash forward (mind the pun) 15 years and Niel Sandilands is currently the bad guy in the fourth season of international TV series, The Flash. Niel is no stranger to international movies or series, in 2010 he made a guest appearance on an episode of medical drama series, House and in 2017 he also had a role on NCIS.
