This comes after the two were engaged in a fight over the weekend.

The incident happened in Toekomsrus on Saturday, October 9.

A video of the two of them fighting went viral on social media.

“He swore at me, and I told him to f-off. He came to my window and pulled me on my jacket. When I got out, I was wearing slippers, and he hit me with my own slipper. He hit me about eight times in the face and on the head.

“This guy is far younger than me and it was humiliating. This is why I started attacking him back.”

He claims the video doesn’t show who started the fight, but just shows him defending himself.

“The video unfortunately only shows me defending myself, but you can hear people laughing and trying to belittle me in front of young people.”

Both the DA and PA have condemned the behaviour.

“The DA condemns the vicious and criminal attack against Julius…by a member of the Patriotic Alliance,” said DA Gauteng Provincial chairperson Fred Nel in a statement.

So far, no arrests have been made.

“Police are investigating cases of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH) and intimidation. No arrests have been made yet,” Gauteng Police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubela told the Herald.
