PICTURES: Residents fix road with their own money

images showing residents fixing their road has been doing the rounds on social
media.
A Twitter user has posted a few images showing the before and after pictures of a road fixed by local community members.

The residents took matters into their own hands because they received no help from the government to repair the road.
They pooled money to get the supplies together and hire people to lay the new road, which looks considerably better.

People took to the comments saying: “This would be commendable, but what about our taxes? It means that municipalities must fall or each town must be its own municipality.”.
