PICTURES: Vervet monkeys swim across crocodile-infested river

Pictures were taken at the Hluhluwe Game Reserve and showed a troop of vervet monkeys bravely crossing a crocodile-infested river.

The monkeys can be seen attempting to cross the swollen river for some unknown reason.
A safari guide has said that this type of behaviour is very rare and that he hasn’t seen anything like it in his whole life.

The guide did say that the monkeys were brilliant and chose the safest place to cross and rode the currents to get across safely.
