WATCH: Overtake goes wrong and Polo goes off-road

Dashcam footage showing a failed overtake has been doing the rounds online, proving that the road rules exist for a reason.

In the footage, you see a car driving down a single lane highway with a large truck approaching when you see a white polo pop out from behind it.

The Polo stayed in the oncoming lane trying to overtake the truck until it could not stay there anymore, and it ran off the road.

People rushed to the comments saying: "The driver's discretion failed to judge the situation correctly. VWs are very wild and dangerous to other road users.".
