The man was on the famous 100-metre-high bridge at Piyan Mountain in Longjing City when the incident took place. The tourist was trapped on the bridge for more than half an hour before he was rescued by firefighters as the gusts of up to 150km per hour blew.

The photos that were shared on social media showed the man clinging to the side of the bridge, surrounded by gaping holes where the glass panels used to be.

The man was reportedly unharmed but was sent to the hospital for assessment and counselling, as reported by The Guardian.
