WeBuyCars buys TicketPro Dome

One of the biggest car buying companies in South Africa, WeBuyCars, has just announced that it bought the TicketPro Dome. 

It plans to turn the venue into one of the biggest second-hand car dealerships in the world.

Speaking to MyBroadBand.co.za,  WeBuyCars CEO, Faan van der Walt, said the move will have a positive impact on the economy. 

“Apart from cementing our presence in northern Johannesburg, we are confident this growth path will have a positive impact on the economy,” said Van der Walt.

“We have always been proud of our roots, and this next step in our expansion plan demonstrates our commitment to the South African car market, which has significant growth potential."

The premises will store approximately 1,500 vehicles. 

WeBuyCars currently has eight branches located nationally.

TicketPro Dome

The TicketPro Dome has hosted many great shows in South Africa. Its first show was held on 8 April 1998 when it hosted international star Diana Ross. The show was attended by over 15,000 people with a special guest appearance by the late former President Nelson Mandela.

Other international stars who have performed at the TicketPro Dome include; Pink!, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Lauren Hill, Pharrell Williams, Rammstein, Celine Dion, Roxette, and Michael Buble.
