This woman never expected to get an 'ashy surprise'.

Well, this is awkward.
Having to lay your mother to rest is a massive thing for anyone, but imagine attempting to scatter her ashes and it completely backfires? Let's face it, if there is one thing you don't want to mess up it has to be spreading your late mother's ashes?
Liz Hopson was dutifully spreading her deceased mother's ashes from a bridge in Newcastle, England when a strong wind blew them directly back onto her face. The strong gust of wind brought the ashes crashing into Hopson's mouth and hair. Luckily she was wearing a pair of sunglasses.
Hopson's daughter shared the clip on YouTube, commenting that this was her grandmother's way of getting the last laugh, much like that scene from 'The Big Lebowski'.
At least the family laughed and made the best out of the moment.
How awkward is this, though?
