Activist pole dances in a wheelchair to raise awareness about disabilities

Erin Clark is comfortable with her body, and won't let her disability get in the way of her dreams.

Most pole dancing instructors will tell you right away that the sport is not for the faint-hearted. It requires a strong sense of discipline and hours of practice, but the rewards are well worth it.

Erin Clark knows this very well, even though she is not a typical pole dancing candidate. Her congenital spinal illness means that the base of her spinal column has never developed. In spite of this, Erin has grown confident in her body and is proud of what she has been able to achieve.

Erin loves the rush of being on stage during performances, and she has won competitions at a national level.

Erin is a champion for inclusivity in the sport, and since she began competing, an official disabled category has been added into pole dancing competitions.
