Brendan Peyper burst onto the scene with his debut album Stop Wag Bly Nog 'n Bietjie in 2015, immediately grabbing the attention of Afrikaans music lovers countrywide. Since then, he has won fans over with his music videos and his engaging live performances.

No account of his rise to fame would be complete without a mention of what has now become his trademark shirtless pose. But those who believe that Brendan is only about his looks would be mistaken. He is also a good strategist, as demonstrated by his recent Tropika Island of Treasure 8 win.

And soon he will be known as an actor: Brendan stars as the iconic Buddy Holly in the upcoming biographical musical, Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, on at Emperor's Palace from 17 May 2018.

Starring alongside Brendan will be the legendary Malcolm Gooding. Malcolm is an institution in the entertainment industry, having made his mark in the radio world with his shows and plays on Springbok Radio.
Among his most notable radio productions is his 2014 biographical play Going Gooding: A Play on Radio. Malcolm has been called "the Golden Voice of radio".
