First it was Ford Kugo that made shocking headlines and now it's Tesla's turn. A video of a Tesla car exploding spread like wildfire online over the Easter weekend.
According to reports by Reuters, the car brand is adamant that its cars are significantly less likely to catch fire than your average car. But after the surveillance video - showing a Tesla Model S bursting into flames in a parking garage in Shanghai - surfaced consumers aren't convinced.

The cause of the explosion could not be immediately ascertained from the videos.
Tesla said in a statement that no one was harmed.
