Deaf Olympic swimmer Terence Parkin joins the Scenic Drive after being assaulted

Earlier this month, South African Olympic swimmer Terence Parkin was assaulted in a road rage. The deaf swimmer joined the Scenic Drive to share more about the incident.

Deaf silver and gold medallist Terence Parkin is a South African Olympic swimmer that was recently assaulted. 

The swimmer was driving through Free State, on his way from Durban to Johannesburg, when a motorist in a BMW allegedly tried to force him off the road.

Parkin described the experience as 'shocking.'

Parkin joined the Scenic Drive to share more about his life journey and the shocking experience. 

"After that incident, I went straight to the police. Yes, he did speed and it was very unpleasant.

"I need to calm myself when I think about it. The guy was very angry but we must now wait for the court to investigate it."
