We find many remote places in the world. One such place is Tanna. Tanna is an island in the Tafea Province of Vanuatu. It has a population of about 29,000 people and is populated by Melanesians.

Vanuatu is made up of 83 islands in the South Pacific. It's sixth largest, Tanna, is 40km long and only 19km wide, but one can do and see a number of things. Traditions and customs are strong in the area, so much so that there is a tribe on the remote island who hailed Prince Philip as a hero.

The tribe was devastated to hear of his passing and practiced a ritual with ceremonial dancing to mark his death and is planning to start a political party in his honor.

The Duke of Edinburgh died aged 99. Queen Elizabeth II's husband, who was recently hospitalized and underwent a successful heart procedure, died on 9 April, Buckingham Palace announced at the time.

According to express.co.uk, the tribe has “worshipped the duke for decades after associating him with an ancient prophecy that said a spirit from Tanna would venture far away in search of a powerful woman to marry.”
