The mother of a 9-year-old boy has been sentenced to jail for refusing to have her child vaccinated.
The Washington Post reported that a mother from Detroit, Michigan was sentenced to 7 days in jail after she disobeyed a court order to have her 9-year-old son vaccinated.
Rebecca Bredow says that she is passionate about the health
and wellbeing of her children, but she cannot vaccinate them as it goes against
her religious beliefs, according to The Sun.

Rebecca says she and her ex-husband had both agreed to space out their children’s vaccinations, and planned to suspend them completely. The father of the children has since changed his mind, which is why Bredow was brought before the court and eventually sentenced.
