Here's where South Africans can watch the Miss Universe pageant

This year, Natasha Joubert will represent the country at the 69th edition of Miss Universe.

On 17 May, Miss Universe 2019, Zozibini Tunzi, will crown her successor and South Africans are eagerly waiting to see if they will be celebrating another Miss Universe title. 

This year, Natasha Joubert, who was crowned second princess at Miss South Africa, will represent the country at the 69th edition. 

Over the past three years, South Africa succeeded in the competition.

In 2017, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters was crowned as Miss Universe. A year after that, medical doctor Tamary Green was crowned as first runner-up. 

In 2019, Zozibini Tunzi was crowned Miss Universe and is also the longest-running title-holder in history.

Over the weekend, videos and pictures were shared on social media of Natasha Joubert representing South Africa in the preliminary show. 

The hashtag #NatashaForMissUniverse started trending on social media and South Africans are hoping for a back-to-back win. 

1Magic (DStv channel 103) announced that the channel will be officially airing the 'Miss Universe Pageant' on Monday, May 17 from 02:00 to 05:00.
