"I literally now have time to stop and smell the roses" - Rian van Heerden on day four of lockdown
Updated | By Scenic Drive With Rian
Rian van Heerden realised what he has missed while cooped up at home and he shared a beautiful message on social media about the things he took for granted.

"I work in my garden. Something I haven't done for 3 years. I literally now have time to stop and smell the roses. Their smell is actually quite lovely and brings me even more peace. I read books that will enrich me. I make plans for the day this is over. I have long talks with my mother. Usually, she talks and I listen with my mind on other things. Now I really listen and we have conversations. My cat started purring. Finally. I found his sweet spot! I cook....Me! I find that I still can."
This is a part of the message Rian van Heerden shared on Facebook.

During day four of the national lockdown - Van Heerden realised that he is more content and peaceful.
"I have started looking at these 21 days as a challenge. Can I do this?" This is how Van Heerden will be doing his lockdown.
Van Heerden started to cook, work in his garden, walks with his mother, and listens to her. He now has time for all of it.
How are you challenging yourself to overcome 21 days in isolation?
