Kriel: Second most highly polluted hotspot in the world

Kriel in Mpumalanga was recently announced as the second-highest air polluted hotspot in the world!

The area’s high levels of pollution are a direct result of a concentration of coal power plants in the area.

NASA used satellites to track air pollution around the world and the extremely high levels of air pollution in Kriel is mainly caused by humans. The government declared the region a “priority area” because of the environmental risk from air pollution there.

Rian van Heerden was shocked when he heard the news, he received a few calls from listeners stating that they are suffering while living there.

Rian and The Scenic Drive decided that they will have to visit Kriel in Mpumalanga to get a proper sense of what is actually happening.
