Mariska Venter is unconventional in all the best ways
Updated | By The Scenic Drive with Rian
Mariska Venter says a wheelchair does not define her. She is set to take the modelling world by storm.
Mariska Venter has big dreams for her future.
As a rising wheelchair tennis star and an aspiring model, Mariska is a wonderful testament to the fact that disability does not dictate your path in life.
Mariska is proud to be at the forefront of the movement to have people in wheelchairs recognised as equals in mainstream society.
Speaking about her passion, Mariska said: "I believe no matter what happens to you in life you can always choose to stand up and become the great person you are meant to be. Nothing is impossible, if you really, really want it you can get it."
She is currently in talks with a major modelling agency to begin her modelling career in earnest. Mariska believes that she can work the runway with the best able-bodied models out there: she is a model, not a "wheelchair model".
With the support of her friends and family, Mariska is achieving each one of her big goals at a time.
