Radio presenter from Upington, Monica Gerhard was born without arms or legs. She joined The Scenic Drive with Rian to share her story.
Monica Gerhard was born without arms and legs. No medical explanation has been given for her condition, but doctors have told her that it could have been caused by Thalidomide medication, taken by my her mother for morning sickness.
Her physical disability does not stop her from leading a productive and successful life.
Monica is a motivational speaker, radio presenter, translator and an active member of the Upington community in South Africa.S
She is a presenter on Radio Riverside where she host a talk show slot called “Prontuit” every Tuesday between 12h00-12h30.
She focus on the lives and needs of disabled people, so as to inform those who are able bodied, about disability.
