Netflix has explored the Brandvlei Correctional Centre in the Western Cape, with nearly all of the convicts belonging to dangerous gangs.
The documentary series, 'Inside The World's Toughest Prisons', explores the world's most dangerous prisons.
In season 5, host and journalist, Raphael Rowe, travels to different locations to explore the imprisonment process of various societies.

Rowe was sentenced to imprisonment for murder, which he did not do. Rowe was sentenced to life imprisonment - with no parole.
Rowe travels to see what it's like in the world's toughest prisons - and in the new season, Rowe visited the Brandvlei Correctional Center in the Western Cape, close to Worcester.
The Brandvlei Correctional Center is known for convicts belonging to dangerous gangs trying to take control of certain areas.
