On a road in Potchefstroom on Monday, 26 February two drivers were filmed having a heated confrontation. At first, the two were driving around each other aggressively. Later, the argument becomes verbal.

From the beginning of the video, it is clear that the driver of the VW Jetta began chasing the taxi driver. It is after the man in the Jetta leaves his vehicle to argue with the taxi driver that things escalate.

The driver of the taxi gets out and physically attacks the driver of the Jetta, presumably - if the narration by the two people filming the video is to be relied on - with a knife. At this, the two people filming zoom in on the driver's registration plate, apparently so that they have that information for future use.

Inexplicably, the driver of the Jetta continued to pursue the taxi driver even after the physical attack.

Andre Snyman, a resident of the area who has seen the video, says he was told the argument between the two drivers began after the driver allegedly stole the man in the Jetta's cellphone.

No further details about the incident have emerged at this time.
