Rian and Cakes for Africa grant Erin's 16th birthday wish!
Rian and the Scenic Drive team were able to organise a birthday surprise for young Erin on her 16th birthday. Read on to see the unforgettable Make My Monday moment unfold.
Scenic Drive listener Mechelle de Jager sent us a Make My Monday request on behalf of her daughter, Erin. Mechelle wanted to surprise Erin with a fabulous birthday cake, saying her daughter deserves it because she always does what she can to help others.
Here is Mechelle's letter:
Good day Drive@Jacaranda FM,
I would really, really appreciate if you can help me make Monday 5 March very special. It is my daughter Erin's 16th birthday.
Erin goes out of her way to make her friends & family feels special.
Between work and home and her two brothers, there is little to no time to put a birthday cake and treats together.
If you can help me out with a unicorn cake I would really appreciate it.
Please help me make Erin feel special for her birthday.

The cake - a four-tier chocolate and vanilla sponge creation that can be cut into 200 slices - was delivered to Erin's house on Monday afternoon.
