Following the viral video showing children in school uniform tripping off of a mysterious drug known only as "herbal blend", Rian called someone from the Pretoria West community for some insight on the issue.

An undercover cop known only as "Spook" told Rian that the drug is not new: it has been seen in the area before under a different name. It's most recent resurgence sees it packaged in small black bags with purple and blue stickers featuring animated characters on them.

Shockingly, it is freely available to purchase and has not yet been classified as illegal. It can be bought for as little as R45 at selected adult shops in the area.

Spook says that the drug can only be properly named and classified once the samples that have been sent for forensic testing are returned.
In the meantime, parents should watch what their children are spending pocket money on. Any suspicious looking packages should be immediately confiscated.

Spook could not elaborate on what children see when they have hallucinations but he did mention that continued use of the drug could lead to death.
