The Royal Family wishes Meghan Markle a happy birthday

The Queen shared throwback photos, including one of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with a newborn Archie.

On Wednesday, 4 August, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle celebrated her 40th birthday. 

Queen Elizabeth II wished Markle a happy birthday on the official royal family social media accounts

The tribute, which was posted on the royal family's Twitter and Instagram Stories, includes a picture of the Duchess at Queen Elizabeth's 2018 outing to Cheshire, as well as one of Meghan; her husband, Prince Harry; and their son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor on their South African tour in 2019.

"Wishing The Duchess of Sussex a very Happy Birthday today!" the caption read.

Brother-in-law, Prince William, and his wife, Duchess Kate, also wished Markle a happy birthday by sharing a photo of her and Harry's 2018 tour of Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific.

Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla also sent birthday wishes to Markle - by posting a beautiful smiling photo of her on their official Twitter account. 

Since her exit from royal duties, the Duchess has gone back to the entertainment industry after moving back to the US.

Markle and her husband, Harry, have also signed a production deal with Netflix to create documentaries and TV shows under their new production company.

She's also released her first children's book titled, 'The Bench'.
