On Sunday, 11 October Rafael Nadal won his 20th Grand Slam title. It was his 13th Roland Garros title.

Nadal defeated Novak Djokovic 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 in 2 hours and 41 minutes at Court Philippe-Chatrier in Paris. No other singles player, male or female, has won a Grand Slam more times than Nadal has won the French Open.

He leads the list with 13 French Open titles.

Serena Williams holds the most Grand Slam titles in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles combined among active players. Her 39 Grand Slam titles put her joint-third on the all-time list and second in the Open Era: 23 in singles, 14 in women's doubles, and two in mixed doubles.

"So, these numbers are absolutely insane, my favourite tennis player before Novak Djokovic was Pete Sampras. He had 14 Grand Slam titles. For players to be racking up 24 and 20 Grand Slams each is really amazeballs. We really are privileged to have three great players (Serena Williams, Roger Federer & Rafael Nadal) in one generation. Hopefully, Djokovic will join the 20's club soon," Joe Mann.

Here are the tennis players that have won more than 20 Grand Slam titles:

Margaret Court: 24

Serena Williams: 23

Steffi Graff: 22

Roger Federer: 20

Rafael Nadal: 20
