The Voice SA contestant Itu Sings performs his audition song

Itumeleng Tsabane aka "Itu Sings" tried the 9-to-5 job but prefers to follow his passion in music.

Itumeleng Kevin Tshabane aka “Itu Sings” says he thinks he’s 37 years old, but he’s not sure because “after 30 we don’t count no more!” Itu loves music “that allows people to listen to the storyline – the lyrics have to make a difference,” he says. With a diploma in credit management, Itu did try a traditional 9-to-5 job but the passionless hours got him down, he says, so he left to do what he loves, and “the last two years were real for me”, he admits. He calls his mother “the queen of my soul” because of how supportive she has been on his journey.

 Blind Audition:

Itu had the audience on his side from the first lines of his mini-Bob Marley medley, but Francois waited until the climactic key change before he turned his chair. After he had joined Francois, Riky commented: Next round we’re coming with the steals!”

 Knockout Round:

(This happened last week Sunday)

Itu performed Jessie J’s “Who You Are” and LIRA was so impressed that she promptly stole Itu when Francois sent him to the Danger Zone.

The talent on The Voice SA is incredibly amazing, and we had to invite two contestants to the show.

Itu joined Rian to perform his audition song, "No Woman No Cry."
