In 2019, Tasché Burger became the first woman to win 'The Voice SA' - and her biggest supporter was Jo-Lene Benade, who is now her fiancée.

While Burger was competing in the singing competition, Benade made sure that she was in Johannesburg every second week to support her girlfriend.

In June, Burger popped the big question to Benade - and she said "yes"!

The couple met in 2017 at a braai of a mutual friend. At first, they were just friends, but the rest is history...

Jo-Lene Benade, 24, is a final year student in Wellington. Benade is also the co-writer of Burger's first single, 'Tweedehandse Hart'.

Burger and Benade joined the Scenic Drive to talk about their love and engagement.

"If you know, you know. I knew from the start that she's the one," Burger.

"I never thought that I would get married to a woman," Benade.

"We have received negative comments about our relationships, but we do not focus on it."
