'The River' is a popular South African telenovela that tells the story of Khanyisa Diamonds mine owner Lindiwe Dlamini-Dikana, and the extent she will go to in order to protect her family and maintain her lavish lifestyle.
But on the other end in the township of Refilwe, where Khanyisa Diamonds is located, live poverty-stricken residents, many of whom work at the mine.

And these two separate worlds dramatically collide in this telenovela.
In the latest episode, the Dikana family celebrated a joyous wedding between two gay men.

The talented Kelly Khumalo was invited to the wedding and performed Brenda Fassie's hit single, 'Vulindlela'.
The special performance quickly started to circulate on social media.
